The team over at Kimberly Clark planned to do a presentation at the CEO Conference in 2014. They wanted to do something a little different the help keep the audience entertained, and came up with the idea to present as a game. So they split thier presentation into sections, and at the end of each section they wanted to show a character avoiding peril, collecting coins and “Leveling Up”. The idea being that the audience is leveling up as the view the presentation.
They wanted a clean and colorful aesthetic, which I think we achieved in the final product. Being an avid gamer, I was excited to dive into this project. I created some initial mocks for review, and we refined the style to a simple stick figure, for each of animation, but also so the viewer could see themselves as the main character. It also made for a cleaner overall look.
I created a few different levels, each with their own obstacles to overcome. And each level has its own color pallet, which helps them stand out as different and makes them a bit more memorable. And at the end of each level is an end screen with space for them to overlay (and update) copy as needed. Making it a reusable asset that can last as long as needed.
